Welcome to Seoul

Wow, can't believe it's been 2 years or so since I've logged in here, but those of you who know me shouldn't be too surprised!

Quick update: had kid #2 (aka Zoe) in 2008, left Singapore after 4 years (in 2009) and just arrived
in Seoul. That's pretty much it :) We're staying in temporary housing close to Joel's work until our shipment from Singapore arrives. Recovering from the red-eye flight, the girls slept until 10am this morning! Still trying to get a handle on finding a place for all our stuff, plus the stuff Joel had brought with him a few weeks ago. Went to a local store for groceries last night. Surprisingly, they had lots to offer and it was pretty easy to navigate. Discovered Seoul is all about recycling. After buying groceries you head over to a table and box/tape/tie up your stuff to bring home. No paper/plastic bags at this particular store. Will see what we find at other chains.

Girls are doing well with the dip in temperatures. Ella LOVES wearing her hat and mittens although Zoe is fine without. We put Zoe in her ski jacket last night and she looked like a big pink marsh mellow as she waddled down the hall. Had to keep a window ajar last night as the cooling system "only works in summer". Not used to that.

Will take some pics and do my best to post them in a timely manner :)
